M2 - Up and Down

Beschreibung: Der Name der Tour ist nicht von ungefähr: mehrere Anstiege fordern das Sportlerherz heraus, in Kombination mit den Talfahrten ist es insgesamt eine mittelschwere Tour. Mit Startpunkt in Medernach führt die Strecke zuerst stetig ansteigend durch das Tal der Weißen Ernz bis nach Larochette und dann auf Nebenstraßen über Haller und Waldbillig bis nach Christnach. Hinter Christnach geht es wieder bergaufwärts. Landschaftlich abwechslungsreich verläuft die Route dann weiter, durch mehrere kleine Dörfer hindurch bis nach Berdorf. Von dort folgt eine Abfahrt – vorbei an einzigartigen Felsformationen - ins kühl gelegene Tal der Schwarzen Ernz. Dieses verlässt man nach einem kurzen Abschnitt wieder um steil bergauf auf das Plateau von Beaufort zu gelangen. Hinter Bigelbach fährt man bergab nach Reisdorf mit herrlicher Aussicht auf das Sauertal. Hinter Reisdorf geht es an der Weißen Ernz entlang bergauf und über Folkendange und Ermsdorf gelangt man zum Ausgangspunkt nach Medernach zurück.

Description: The name of the tour is not by chance: several climbs challenge the athlete's heart, in combination with the descents it is altogether a moderately difficult tour. Starting in Medernach, the route first leads steadily uphill through the valley of the White Ernz to Larochette and then on side roads via Haller and Waldbillig to Christnach. Behind Christnach it goes uphill again. The route then continues in a varied landscape, passing through several small villages to Berdorf. From there follows a descent - past unique rock formations - into the cool valley of the Black Ernz. After a short section, you leave this valley to climb steeply up to the plateau of Beaufort. Behind Bigelbach you ride downhill to Reisdorf with a wonderful view of the Sauer valley. Behind Reisdorf, the route goes uphill along the White Ernz and via Folkendange and Ermsdorf you return to the starting point in Medernach.

Description: Le nom du tour n'est pas un hasard : plusieurs montées mettent au défi le cœur du sportif, en combinaison avec les descentes, il s'agit globalement d'un tour de difficulté moyenne. Avec un point de départ à Medernach, le parcours mène d'abord en montée constante à travers la vallée de l'Ernz Blanche jusqu'à Larochette, puis sur des routes secondaires via Haller et Waldbillig jusqu'à Christnach. Après Christnach, la route monte à nouveau. L'itinéraire continue ensuite à travers plusieurs petits villages jusqu'à Berdorf. De là, une descente s'ensuit - en passant par des formations rocheuses uniques - dans la vallée fraîche de l'Ernz noire. Après un court tronçon, on quitte cette vallée pour arriver sur le plateau de Beaufort, en forte montée. Après Bigelbach, on descend vers Reisdorf avec une vue magnifique sur la vallée de la Sûre. Après Reisdorf, on monte le long de l'Ernz Blanche et on revient au point de départ à Medernach en passant par Folkendange et Ermsdorf.

Korte beschrijving: De naam van de tocht is geen toeval: verschillende beklimmingen stellen het hart van de atleet op de proef, in combinatie met de afdalingen is het al met al een matig zware tocht. Vanaf Medernach voert de route eerst gestaag bergopwaarts door het dal van de Witte Ernz naar Larochette en vervolgens over zijwegen via Haller en Waldbillig naar Christnach. Na Christnach gaat de route weer omhoog. De route gaat dan verder door een gevarieerd landschap, via verschillende kleine dorpjes naar Berdorf. Van daaruit volgt een afdaling - langs unieke rotsformaties - naar het koele dal van de Schwarze Ernz. Na een kort stuk verlaat u dit weer om steil omhoog te klimmen naar het plateau van Beaufort. Achter Bigelbach rijdt u bergafwaarts naar Reisdorf met een prachtig uitzicht op het Sauerdal. Achter Reisdorf gaat de route bergopwaarts langs de Witte Ernz en via Folkendange en Ermsdorf keert u terug naar het beginpunt in Medernach.
